Happy 300th Post!
Can you beweave it? It seemed like only yesterday we were celebrating our 200th blog anniversary with a toast and staring into each other’s blog eyes. I say anniversary because it’s kind of like every post is a sexy rendezvous between us two schweethearts. Every time you read my blog, it’s like we are holding hands. Perhaps even kissing WITH TONGUE on some posts. I’ve probably already “accidentally” given you a chola-style hickey. Maybe we’ll even put our hands in each others jeans pockets and walk down the school hallway sometime. Tricks on you! I don’t wear jeans, only skirts… COCHINO!
Anyway, let’s talk about our feelings. Or how about our future together….(don’t be afraid)
+ AgentLover.com is going to get an extreme makeover! Much like that Frankenstein Heidi, we will be going under a mass transformation. UNDER THE KNIFE! Don’t be scared. I’m sorry I used that scary monster as an example. Forget about her. Let’s go with the makeover from one of my favorite 80′s teen dream movies…She’s Out of Control. Pretend agentlover.com is like Ami Dolenz walking down the stairs in slow-mo,(6:00) with “Venus” by Frankie Avalon playing and you are Tony Danza. It’s gonna be GORG!
+ It’s time for Ask A Gay again! My main bakla Shaun is ready for any questions only a guardian gayngel could answer, so please submit! You can email them to me at marie[at]agentlover.com!
+ If we aren’t friends on Facebook yet, add me! And if you follow me on Twitter, holla at me! Let’s consummate our love EVERYWHERE.
Love 2 Love U! Have a Dirty Shirley tonight and drink to our love!

Dr. Romanelli X Fraggle Rock

If you grew up in the 80′s, chances are you watched Jim Henson’s musical puppet show, Fraggle Rock. Dr. Romanelli did a collaboration with Fraggle Rock which includes sweaters and t-shirts as well as a cute interactive website where you can hear the Fraggle Rock theme song remixed by peeps such as Mike Posner and DJ Skeet Skeet. A couple of weeks ago I went to the DRx X Fraggle Rock launch party at Kitson to support my friend Nathan Cabrera who is the talented designer behind DRx. I was even able to get an exclusive interview with a FRAGGLE.

Adorable little Doozers inhabited the windows of Kitson …
Uh oh….
Special guest of the evening, Red, came all the way from Fraggle Rock to celebrate the launch with us and she was kind enough to answer some of my VERY difficult questions…
+ Hi! I’m Marie nice to meet you!
Hi Marie!!
+ So what do you like to wear every day? Is it the same thing?
I pretty much like to wear a red shirt most of the time.

Ooh gosh…Well…there was a designer in Fraggle Rock but you probably haven’t heard of her so I need to learn more about the silly creature designers.

My Fave Drape Is Wanda Woodward
Wanda Woodward, Traci Lords’ character from Cry-Baby, is one of my top style icons. Aside from her badass attitude, her pencil-cut dresses, wingtip eyeliner, fire-engine red pout and perfect bangs make up my favorite ingredients for my signature look, so how can I not list her as one of my inspirations?
“Oh Wanda, you sure is pretty in them tight clothes, all painted up like trash!”
“We like hot boys! Boys with roaming hands and rushing fingers!”
I love big hair!! Am I going to have to bumpit?!?
“Yeah, I’m just a bebop baby, and I don’t take nothing from no one! See ya later, daddy-os. Have a cool Yule and a frantic First!”
In other news, if you want to be cat-called by multiple transients in a span of five minutes, dress like this. GAH!!!

A Few Things For You to Check Out
First off, Vanda from Paraphernalia is having a contest for her new Victoriana Collection! All you have to do is write a short story for one or more of these lovely ladies adorning the necklaces, and the winner will win a $30 gift voucher as well as be featured in the product description and press releases! These pretty gals will surely inspire you to write a paragraph or two! More details can be found on the Paraphernalia blog and Vanda’s flickr!
And now for my LA peeps, there are two special events for you to attend. Tonight is Gidget Gein’s Memorial Plaque Benefit at the Dragonfly that Lenora Claire has organized.
And this Saturday, December 6, La Luz de Jesus Gallery will be presenting a signing, photographic exhibition and live erotic photo shoot for Alexandra Gibson’s new book “From the Outside In.” The foreword to the book is written by my dear friend Tricia!
In an era when popular culture shuns the mysterious & sacred for the garish & over-exposed, Alexandra Gibson cultivates a deeper, innate ideal of sexuality and eros. Her work expresses a genuine desire to explore the individual, to extract and expose the mystery of the spirit.
One could describe her style as a cross-fertilization of social realism and erotica, a distinct departure from the increasingly commonplace www-erotica that relies upon a simple algebra of nudity and exploitive pose. Gibson’s muses bare themselves in front of her camera physically and psychologically, exposing a nakedness that is far more than nudity. She documents the very immediate, captures the moment of permission, of acquiescence. When viewing these images one can almost hear the subject exhale, a thumping pulse, the hum of raw lust like electricity.
In her first book “From the Outside In,” Gibson offers her audience visions of passion that are unexpected and unique: there are men and women entwined as serpents, spells inscribed with razor and blood, nymphs tamed by rope round slender neck, and near spectral figures emerging from inky black. The body is a tableau to Gibson and she has the distinct ability to emphasize its eroticism through the shooting of the specific (i.e., portraiture) or through the revelation of its more anonymous, seductive architecture. This ability to mate the stark and secret recalls for the onlooker the work of Brassai and Arbus, Man Ray and Mark, Evans and Witkin.
Gibson’s work has appeared in countless publications including Rolling Stone, the New York Times, the L.A. Weekly, and Curve. Her photography has been shown in a list of equally prestigious locations: the California State Capitol, the corporate offices of Hewlett-Packard, the Advocate Gallery, & the Helen-Pittman Gallery in Detroit, MI. Most recently, Gibson traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico to study under photography legend Mary Ellen Mark.
La Luz de Jesus Gallery is proud to present an exhibition of new works by Gibson in conjunction with the release & signing of her book. Limited edition archival prints will be on display & available for purchase. Also, as part of this special event Gibson will be erecting one of her famous live photo stages for a live erotic photo shoot in the gallery – an event not to be missed!

Mad Crushin' On You, Mr. President!

Tomorrow Is Almost Here

{No on Prop 8 self-portrait of my BFF Nicki H}
Tomorrow is the day for Californians to vote No on Prop 8, which if passed, would eliminate the right for same-sex couples to marry. It is completely ridiculous that many moons ago we were fighting for equal rights and we are still fighting for it in this day and age. This should not be our current reality! It also pains and disgusts me to see parents programming discrimination and intolerance in their children’s minds by making them parade street corners with Yes on 8 signs. This only promotes ignorance and hate for future generations. This also promotes me to accidentally flip off children while I’m driving. NO ON PROP 8!
Remember, without the gays we would not have fashion, people! Our Google Readers would be a sad and desolate town, with dirty sweatpants-wearing tumbleweeds rolling by. And yes, gay weddings are likely to be more fabulous than most straights’, but nobody has to get jealouz! That doesn’t mean we can’t all party together in the name of equality! VOTE NO ON MUTHA FUCKIN’ PROP 8.
This is a cute ad from the amazing Margaret Cho and Selene Luna, both ladies whom I love!
Also please check out my bff Shaun’s hilarious and powerful take on the subject!
And of course, vote for this cutie for president!
