Lustin' 4 Justin
Confesh: I have been thinking about Justin Timberlake a lot lately because the other day I found a picture of me with short hair and glasses kissing a poster of him in Vegas WHERE I SAW HIM IN CONCERT (2003). Thank you. Ain’t no shame in my game EVER. Then Gilda posted that one SNL single ladies video (did you just barely see dat m’lady?) This all has resulted in a desire for some new sexy JT tunes. He’s close to perfection because #1: He funny, #2: He FUINE #3: He got flava for a white boy #4: He can sing AND dance #5: HE FUNNY!!! And now he is wearing glasses. SAY WAAT. You know every time there is a pair of Clark Kent spectacles around a panty drops (mine.) WTF is he doing to me?! My ladyboner is thru the roof. I’m hyperventilating right now. Then I come across this new Ciara video featuring the one and only:
[wp_youtube]jKt1A3Okvgo[/wp_youtube]
I’m on the floor now. My bra magically flew off Zapped-style. I don’t know what happened to me but please, enjoy yourself if you feel me on this. Also have you peeped his William Rast line? Since I don’t wear pants I don’t see anything Rie-Rie-ish in his lady line (it’s all jeanz) but I do love this GIANT BELT:
However I’m not feeling camel toe brown. I wish it were white instead so it could look like a straightjacket on my waist. Okay one more:
I wonder what kind of texter he is. Is he an ALL CAPPER, does he LOL, is he quick, bad grammar? No punctuation!?? Does he text stories of life or keep it short and sweet? I imagine he drops the good shit like LL Cool J Lyrics and doesn’t miss a beat with a dirty pun. Thoughts?

Pretty in Pink
Did you see the pink dolphin?! It’s like Strawberry Quik!
I wanna make earrings outta this lil guy…
Wouldn’t this katydid be even cuter with a white tuxedo and top hat?
I wish all animals were pink. I’ve always wanted a pink poodle AND if spiders were pink I would probably let one go outside instead of smashing them with my chancla.

Naus-talgia
Like many peeps who feel they were born in the wrong era, I love going to the swapmeet or the antique shop to find old photos from people’s lives I never knew. With the rain here to annoy me this weekend, I have the desire to do just that. I want to spend it thrifting, listening to old music and digging through plastic bins of strangers’ photographs. Here are some of my favorites…
I am totally enamored with this lady. WHO IS THIS DIVA? (also P.S. Now everytime I see “DIVA” all I wanna do is sing THIS. THANKS A LOT E. ) She is one of my style icons fo sho.
I love how nurses looked back in the day. I’m sorry ladies of the modern medical field! I think all of you are awesome for your career choice, but I wish I could burn your Rugrats and Winnie the Pooh scrubs! It’s my favorite, obviously.
When I look at pictures I also think to myself..what’s the hidden story here? Are they related? Was it a love triangle? Is she the fag hag? I want to hang out with dapper looking menz like that!
And I like wondering how people just were back then. What did they talk about back then? Did they RAGE? Did they get down and dirty and laugh at fucked up shit? Was it the same as now but just on the DL?
Were they as perverted as all of us are now?
MY GUESS IS YES.

Underwater Whimsy
If William Beebe and Jacques Cousteau could send us love letters in photographic form, I’m sure they would choose Bruce Mozert to be the messenger. These underwater photos Mozert captured in the 1940′s are so beautiful I can’t stop looking at them. Originally shot as publicity photos to promote the immense clarity of the water in Silver Springs, Florida, these gorgeous images can be found in this book that came out last year. The methods he used to create these amusing aquatic scenes during a time when Photoshop was just a glimmer in a geek’s eye, continue to inspire today. Releasing condensed milk from a can to imitate smoke for the barbecue picture?! This man was quite the clever and creative fella….
More about it all here. Let’s swoon together.

Roidvision
I wish someone would invent a kind of machine that would scan Polaroids so you wouldn’t have to go through that whole ‘scan, crop, rotate, crop more, stand back, save as and repeat’ routine. Or maybe just a robot to do it. Or maybe I am just a lazy asshole. Anyway, I finally have the Polaroids from Madonna Inn uploaded and ready for viewing. The good ones at least.
I brought four Polaroids cams with me that weekend. My trusty Sun 660, which is the most common and simple out of all my cameras, yet it has also produced my favorite pictures. My Spectra, which didn’t get too much usage since I prefer shooting with it outside and playing with the filters. My Holgaroid, which is also best for outside use, and my SLR 680, which also unfortunately didn’t get too much play. It’s just so simple to grab the Sun 660 when there is complete chaos going on!
Let us peruse together shall we? Let me make you a mimosa…
Dizzy Von Damn! and Robyn Von Swank looking SEXY 4 U
Nikki!!
and Nicki!
A couple of Miss Von Damn..
This is a Polaroid that Shaun took of Joz and Dizzy Von Damn. So HOT!

The next morning, Shaun, Robyn and I went to the pool for a morning swim. The Holgaroid was perfect for it.
Majestic!
Glorious!

Why HELLO THERE
On the way back home, I forced everyone to make a quick stop in Solvang, the land of mystical delight, so I could venture back to the store I like to call “Jody’s” but is really “the store that time forgot,” where I had found outdated 90′s clothing during the first trip. This time, Jody’s failed me and I was flabbergasted! I tried on a red and blue elastic-waisted jumper as well as a red and black shoulda-padded business suit number but no such luck. DAMN YOU JODY! I will do fifteen-hundred jumping jacks and come back to you my tacky, tacky Solvang love. So instead we had treats and Polas.
YAY! Welcome to Solvang!
So I have this idea (DON’T STEAL IT) of writing a script called “Solvang, Land of Wonder and Mystical Delight” in the key of my favorite show Wonderfalls. Basically it will be about a small tourist town where unexplained phenomena is experienced by one girl who lives there. Okay, so it really is just Wonderfalls part 2. Man, I miss that show.
Actually this show you are watching right now is called “Marie and a Giant Lollipop.”
ICE CREAM IS GONNA SAVE THE DAY

Goodbye Sweet Solvang! Until we meet again…

Bookworms and Bitches
I purchased a pair of GIGANTIC cat-eye glasses from the party store a couple weeks ago because gigantic things are hilarious so when my bff came over today we had an impromptu photoshoot using one of the most embarrassing books in my collection [NOT Twilight].
In other news I am going to one of my favorite places in the world this weekend so expect tons of photos and maybe even some quality time when I return.
Smooches!

Everybody Loves Hooters
My brother, who knows very well of my affinity for owls and obsession with handbags, told me about an owl purse he saw while shopping overseas. Carla Braccialini, an Italian designer, makes some pretty interesting handbags, and her Save the Owl line is pretty wonderful.
Too bad it’s something crazy like $ 1,500. If that’s the case, that owl purse better be able to turn into a wizard then conjure me up a plate of cheese fries and a delicious man in front of my very eyes.
Braccialini also produces Vivienne Westwood’s handbag collection. Let’s look at this dreamy one:

I also found some owly goodness at the Maker Faire when Star and I came across the Hambly Studios booth and checked out their amazing variety of silk-screened products. I love baroque wallpaper and chandelier print and they have papers with both those designs and many more. I am kicking myself for not buying them since I was afraid they would get messed up on the flight back, but ordered some online. I did however, bring home this pink birdie rub-on pack that features some really cute owl images and tried it on my Ibook!
I wish it would work on beer coozie material. I have so many undecorated beer coozies from two years ago that still need to be embellished. Stencils? Rhinestones? I still haven’t used that Bedazzler that Lenora gave me for Xmas yet…

Frolicking in the Gardens
This weekend, Leyla, Casey and I ventured off to the beautiful Huntington Gardens to do some shooting in the boobsweat 100-degree weather.
I love my new Polaroid Spectra filter set. Double Trouble indeed!
I’ve also been shooting with the Holgaroid a lot since scoring a bunch of film on Ebay recently.
Casey reminds me of Mary Poppins here, especially since she is wearing a very Poppins-style vintage hat that ties in the front. That girl has the best vintage pieces!
Polaroid Apocalypse in full force you muthas! Let’s go crazy and shoot each other. OMG.
Love Your Panda friend,
