I went to Santa Barbara a couple of weeks ago and this is the outfit I wore, which made me realize that I haven’t done any black outfit posts on here in a long time! IRL though…I am always going back to my GOTHIC ROOTZ. I love wearing head to toe black, ESPECIALLY putana lace as you know. I’m sure I’ll also eventually start wearing a mantilla like Diane Pernet. The year before I started AL, my uniform was a simple black dress ALWAYS with some cleavage and often a touch of color, like a red belt or bright tights. I still like that look a lot but when it comes to documentation, it seems I got into the habit of only taking pics of my more colorful Kinderwhore outfits. Will you allow me to goth it out on here more often?!?

All of this beautiful black lace I am shrouded in are pieces from some rando chola stores + Urban Outfitter wedges + an old H&M purse.

It’s only been about two weeks or so since this picture was taken, but now my hair seems to have resisted participation in milkmaid braids. I gotta face the facts, friends. It’s just too goddamn long. I feel like my hair is a separate entity now and trying to get rid of me! It even caught a flame and started to singe when I was trying to cook some vegetables once! (Gotta keep an emergency scrunchie in the kitchen for this reason alone, ladies. OMG in my mind just now I imagined my hair turning into a noose like on the poster for April Fool’s Day! Scary! ANYWAY, THE RACE IS FINISHED. For those of you WTF’ing, I had decided to let my hair grow and grow and grow, similar to how some menz do with their beards. I wanted to get my hair to the same length as my mom’s was in the 70′s and I have indeed reached that goal. Now it is time to cut off a couple of inches and maybe thin it out or add layers so it doesn’t feel so heavy. As long as I can cover my bare breasts with it so we can have a picture of me like Daryl Hannah on Splash, then that’s all that really matters to all of us anyway…

HELLO…sorry I have been SO quiet this week but my internet has been acting like an asshole lately so I’m behind on everything. BALLS. Anyway, I took a quick trip with Leyla to San Diego last weekend to get some work done on my car and see my new baby neph, Grant! While we were walking around Little Italy, I made Leyla snap a photo of my outfit even though you’ve seen this dress a couple of times before. Have you noticed that I put that bow on everything? It just makes everything better. One day I will do a post in celebration of that BOW.

This past Saturday we celebrated Pygmy Hippo’s One Year Anniversary! I worked at the shop all day long with Emi and by the end of the day I kept saying I wish I had some Tazmanian Devil chanclas because my dogs were barkin’ BAD. Do you remember dem Taz slippers BTW? I used to be really into him…but not as much as DIZZY DEVIL. I think in an alternate dimension I may have a Dizzy Devil tramp stamp.

GREETINGS EARTHLINGZ… I was excited to get this dress from Etsy that I had bookmarked a while ago, but when I tried it on I realized my hips were too TADOW HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW for it. BOO HOO. MUMMY’S CRYING. So I decided to try tucking it into this super old Betsey skirt and Tah-Dah….! Added some faux daisies in my hair for a lil hat tip to 90′s Drew…and ended up with a look that was very Flower Child/Marcia Marcia Marcia!

Excuse this goofylicious pose (apparently I only had time to paint ONE THUMB) but I wanted to show off the bag I’ve been carrying lately. It belonged to my Grandma Marie! I’m not sure how old it is, guessing 70′s? I love this purse but it’s falling apart! I plan on taking it to my COBBLER (you know how I love that word…) to see if he can work his magic on this beauty! Hey sexies. You know what I finally realized? I’ve become one of those “wine people.” WINE PEOPLE. Someone who would rather enjoy a nice glass of wine over any other kind of alcoholic beverage. And none of this 2 Buck Chuck eitha. Don’t roll your eyes at me! I AM 31 now and my days of reciting a whole Catholic mass in a Jameson-induced haze have been put to rest! I AM A MATURE & CLASSY LADY THESE DAYS. Well…at least when it comes to enjoying this adult grape juice anyway. A couple weeks ago, I went wine-tasting in Santa Ynez like us mature, classy people do. This is what I wore.

These wedges are pretty legit. If I can comfortable walk around Santa Ynez all day in a pair of shoes they will get my co-sign.

I’ve had this cute lil’ Lulu Guinness purse for a loooong time. (BBD = Before Blogging Days.) It felt right with this outfit even though grapes would make more sense with the day’s theme.

One of the first places we visited was Gainey, where we got a tour of the vineyards. I loved learning about the process of wine-making. IT’S SO KEWL. Obviously at some point I daydreamed of having my own winery where you’d see me in the distance sidesaddle riding a horse, while dressed in flowing whites and Kate Bush’s “Wuthering Heights” automatically playing as I’d appear, also somehow surrounded in lens flare…It would be truly magical.

One of the places I loved was Saarloos and Sons. They do a wine and cupcake tasting.  These teeny tiny cupcakes were INCREDIBLE. Each one went with a certain wine. I was in heaven.

Another one of my favorite places we visited for a tasting was Sort This Out in Solvang. Pinup girls on the bottles. Super cute!

Can’t wait to go back!

Thanksgiving weekend was RULL NICE. I spent quality time with family and friends, got to see The Muppets at El Capitan, partook in Small Business Saturday and brunched like a king. Btw, to my fellow brunch enthusiasts, PLE see my good friend Vanessa’s blog for our Ladies Who Brunch adventures. She will be documenting our mission for the best in So Cal brunching! But the MOST exciting thing might have been when I went to….

If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram, you probably know how I’m preeetty obsessed with the show, American Horror Story. I can’t remember the last time a show has made me simultaneously feel scared, confused, hornee, angry, and constantly about to put my fist through the television! So when I found out the “Murder House” was actually in LA I immediately polished my lurk boots, grabbed my magnifying glass and went on the search! Funny enough, it’s right near my favorite Korean spa! The address is 1120 Westchester. Maybe we can do all do a meetup since being the freak I am, I WILL be visiting the house moreso in the future OBV…

JCPenney recently sent me a gift card to shop for something sweet in promotion with WRAPT, their super cute gift boutique that just launched in time for the holidays! As many of you know, I’m obsessed with Charlotte Ronson’s line for them, I Heart Ronson, so I was excited to be FORCED to go shopping and check out what was new. As expected, I ended up buying a few Ronson items (including an amazing grampa cardigan that I’ve been wearing a lot lately)  I also ended up finding found this pretty MNG by Mango dress that has a bunch of fruits on it! HOW SWEET IT IS!

I originally wanted to make a messenger bag type purse out of a regular pizza box but this ended up being perfect for the night!
